Instructions to make DAL-PAKWAN—Sindhi special breakfast:
- To cook Dal - wash and soak for 30 minutes then rinse water add in cooker - with 1 cup water,salt, and turmeric powder, give a whistle then 5–7 minutes on slow flame off the gas.
- Take a bowl…..Add Maida., sooji, salt carom seed oil 2 tbs mix nicely make hard dough with warm water keep a side for 10 minutes to set
- Now take the soaked tamarind in a bowl..mash nicely get good pulp…..Now add water salt red chilli powder, cumin seed let boil for 5 to 7 minutes…..keep a side to make cool your chutney is ready……
- Now open the lid of cooker check the Dal. - make a paste of ginger &chilli add in dal.keep dal on slow flame. if need add water - Heat a small pan for tempering.. - Add oil….. then cumin seed, asafoetida, and red chilli powder - add to dal let dal boil for some time 4–6 minutes - Dal is Ready….. off the flame
- Now to make Pakwan.. - Pakwan dough is ready make balls as u love the size - Roll it like poori - keep mark with knife on it so u can fry them in nice crispy - Deep fry them in oil……. - Pakwan is ready
- Take Dal in bowl add tamrind chutney on it garnish with chopped onion.and coriander - Enjoy yummy breakfast DAL–PAKWAN….
- You can enjoy like Pizza also…..with yummy topping choice is yours…..But you have to finish fast…..
