Think of these tahini cookies as grown-up peanut butter cookies. The tahini lends a creamy, earthy flavor. These cookies are SO good and SO easy to make– I made them in a dorm kitchen!
Steps to make Chewy orange and tahini cookies - vegan:
- Pre-heat oven to 170°C
- In a bowl, mix the almonds, cinnamon, cardamom and salt.
- In a separate bowl whisk the tahini, maple syrup, vanilla, orange zest and orange blossom water together.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. And mix well into a dough.
- Take a dessert spoon full of the dough, roll it into the palm of your hands and flatten slightly. Place on a lined baking tray.
- Sprinkle with some flakes of sea salt and put an almond on the top.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes remove from oven when the bottom of the cookie is golden brown. Let them cool.
