- Take 12 Baby Potatoes(peeled)
- Prepare oil
- Make ready 1 cup Curd
- Make ready 2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
- Prepare 1 tbsp cumin powder
- Get 1 tbsp black pepper powder
- Get 1 black Cardamom
- Take 1 tsp shahi jeera
- Take 1 small stick cinnamon
- Take 1 tsp hing
- Prepare 2 bay leaf
- Take 1 tbsp kasuri methi
- Get to taste Salt
Steps to make Kashmiri Dum Aloo 🤤:
- Peel the potatoes. Using a fork prick them all over. Heat oil and deep fry on slow heat till about half done. Remove and cool.
- Again using a fork prick them all over and put them back in hot oil.
- Cook till potatoes are completely done. Remove and keep aside.
- Separately whisk curd, cumin powder and black pepper powder.
- In a pan heat oil and add black cardamom, cinnamon, shahi jeera,red chilli, hing and kashmiri chilli powder.
- Now add the whisked curd.
- Keep stirring till the curd gets a boil. Once it boils lower the heat and let it cook for 5 minutes.
- Now drop the potatoes and some salt. Cover and cook till oil floats on the surface.
- Add water if required.now add kasuri methi.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
