Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. When I make this dish, I do not boil the gnocchi. Instead saute the shrimp in the pan, remove. The gnocchi comes out perfect every time and everything's cooked in one pan. A simple sauce of butter, fresh sage leaves, and Parmesan is a classic accompaniment to gnocchi, which couldn't be easier to make.
